What is better than Christmas? Two of them.
We celebrated Christmas with a dinner before Jessica and Margaret (her mom) headed back to California. Jessica cooked dinner. Ham, turkey, potatoes, green bean casserole, etc. Way too much food. Actually, I had to dispose of most of it before I could cook Christmas dinner on Christmas day. But it was delicious. Even the cheesecake Andy made (if you call pouring the premade filling into a pie crust~he told me had to make sure it was level so that counted as cooking.)
The Wednesday night before Margaret left we opened gifts. Everyone seemed to like what they received. Margaret and I had to love on the cow that "screams" when you pull his tail. We voted on the best gift of the night, Dave's jeep with two hunters in it and a deer tied to the hood. Press the button and the deer sings "Sweet Home Alabama." All you knowing Dave know this was the perfect gift. Made even more personal when Margaret and I wrote "Dave" and "Wade" on the hats of the hunters.
